Today was the yearly Harwell Radio Rally day started off reasonably early for a Sunday, Thankfully there was trains running although other services were affected to engineering works on the line after the 10mins train ride we were in Didcot and met up with Iain M0PCB.
On arrival, it was obvious numbers were down maybe this was mostly due to the bad weather which we had suffered the past week or the recession hitting peoples pockets! even a few traders didn’t show up, after a walk around looking at all the stalls treasure we meet up with Barry (G4AZN) for a spot of lunch and soon after met up with Tim (G4VXE) who Dad (M3JFM) and I regularly pass messages to via Twitter, it was nice to put a face to a callsign and have a chat in person.
Soon after 1:30pm departed the rally and made it home an hour later after waiting around for a train, all n all a good day out.
